MicroSeismic, Inc. Names Greg Burns as Vice President of Human Resources

HOUSTON, TX – June 19, 2012: MicroSeismic, Inc. announced today that Greg Burns has been appointed Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, he will be responsible for providing global, strategic leadership and management of MicroSeismic’s human resources function. He will drive the Company’s efforts to further its position as a leader in the oilfield services industry by building and maintaining a professional, motivated, diverse and technically strong workforce.

Year over year we have doubled our employees in positions from field workers through executives to keep up with the company’s growth,” said Peter Duncan, PhD, Founder and CEO of MicroSeismic, Inc. “To keep our high standard of hiring quality employees we chose to bring Greg on to lead Human Resources. Greg’s knowledge and experience will be an asset to MicroSeismic as we continue to expand our base of operation.”

Greg has more than 16 years of experience in international oilfield operations. The majority of his career was spent with Schlumberger, where he began as a Field Engineer. His career spanned roles in operations, marketing, sales and human resources. Including an assignment as Personnel Manager for the Caspian Geomarket, based in Kazakhstan. Prior to joining MicroSeismic, he was Human Resources Director for Cooper Industries in Peachtree City, Ga.

“This is an exciting time for the company and I am pleased to be a part of it,” said Greg. “Surface and near-surface monitoring of hydraulic fracturing is a rapidly growing technology and MicroSeismic is well positioned to sustain their lead in this industry. I look forward to ensuring we will deliver the highest level of service to our customers, which begins with the quality of our people.”

Greg has a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alabama and a Masters of Business Administration from The Rotterdam School of Management. He is in the process of relocating to the Houston area with his wife and two children.
