Microseismic Achieves 2 Million Man Hours Without A Lost Time Injury

Written by: wfLevyllc

HOUSTON, TX – April 17, 2019 – Demonstrating once again that safety is a priority for its clients and employees, MicroSeismic, Inc. (MicroSeismic) announced today two significant safety milestones – achievement of 2 million man hours without a lost time incident (LTI) and a 0.0 total recordable incident rate (TRIR) for 2017 and 2018. These milestones signify the company’s continued commitment to safety as a core value.

MicroSeismic views the health and safety of its employees, contractors, and the environment as a top priority and as such, continuously strives to improve upon its Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) program. In 2017 MSI rolled out its “Rules to Live By” to maintain a proactive approach to safety as a priority. This proactive approach to HSE ensures that a safety mindset is upheld by its employees and helps guide efficient and excellent operations within the workplace and the communities in which it works, with minimal impact on the environment.

“These achievements reflect MicroSeismic’s deep commitment to our HSE values and affirms the diligence and focus of our employees and contractors,” said Peter Duncan, President and CEO, MicroSeismic. “We have established a culture of Safety First throughout the organization; even though our employees work around the clock, sometimes in severe conditions, these numbers reflect that this philosophy isn’t just a slogan, it is a commitment. I salute every MicroSeismic employee and contractor on this major accomplishment.”

LTI and TRIR are used as a measure of safety in the workplace and are generally reported in increments of a rate that considers the number of OSHA cases per 100 full-time equivalent employees. In 2017 the average total recordable rate of TRIR for the industry sector was 1.2, up from 1.1 in 2015 and 2016. MicroSeismic has achieved 0.00 four years in a row, from 2015-2018.
