Seasoned executives from Anadarko Petroleum and Baker Hughes deepen industry expertise
HOUSTON, TX – May 7, 2012: MicroSeismic, Inc. (MSI), announced the appointment of two key independent members to its Board of Directors. Joining the Board are Robert (Bob) Daniels, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Exploration at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and G. Stephen Finley, former Chief Financial Officer of Baker Hughes.

Robert Daniels joined Anadarko in 1985 and became SVP of Worldwide Exploration in 2006. Previously, he served as SVP, Exploration and Production, and prior to that served as Vice President, Canada.
Bob holds a Master of Science degree in petroleum geology from the Colorado School of Mines and a bachelor’s degree in economics from The Colorado College. He also is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.
Bob serves on the Board of Directors of the Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation and Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas. He is a Trustee of the American Geological Institute Foundation.
Steve Finley currently serves on the Board of Exterran GP LLC and Newpark Resources, Inc. and has previously served on the boards of Total Safety U.S. Inc. and Ocean Rig ASA. He brings 24 years of experience from Baker Hughes, rising to become the Senior Vice President, Finance & Administration and Chief Financial Officer from 1999 to 2006. Previously he held positions in audit and accounting at Navistar, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and Arthur Andersen & Co.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Indiana State University. He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
This transition is accompanied by the departure of MicroSeismic Inc. CEO, William Coates, for personal reasons. Re-assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer is Peter Duncan, Ph.D., Founder of MicroSeismic Inc. Peter served as CEO of MicroSeismic from 1993 to October 2011. He also serves as the Executive Chairman of MicroSeismic’s Board of Directors.
