HOUSTON, TX – June 10, 2014: MicroSeismic, Inc. (MicroSeismic) announced today that it has already exceeded its yearly goal for donations to hospitals in Houston, Denver and Calgary. The donations underwrite hearing aids for under-privileged children.
MicroSeismic has taken a unique approach to funding the donations – for every well it monitors it makes a financial contribution to the Memorial Hermann Foundation in Houston, the Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation in Denver, and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation in Calgary. These hospitals were selected because they are located in areas where MicroSeismic and its customers live and work.
“Thanks to both our new and long-standing customer relationships, it is exciting to watch the number of wells we monitor grow and the impact it can have in the communities where we live and work. The fact that our success allows us to help even more children with hearing disabilities than previously hoped, gives special meaning to what the company does,” stated Greg Burns, VP, Human Resources, MicroSeismic. “We are thrilled that these hospitals have partnered with us to help children get the medical attention they need. Although we have reached our yearly philanthropic goal, we have no plans to halt donations. This is just the beginning of a long, successful relationship.”
The most recent child to be fitted with hearing aids was at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. The young girl was born with severe hearing loss, and has now, for the first time, heard her mother’s voice and other new sounds clearly.
