Reservoir Monitoring
MicroSeismic, Inc.'s buried array provides a cost effective and comprehensive method for monitoring long term, dynamic changes in the reservoir associated with production and injection operations.
The buried array allows for economically viable long term microseismic monitoring over large volumes of reservoir rock. An area of 25 square miles (65+ square kilometers) can be monitored with a single economical installation, allowing for either campaign or continuous monitoring over years of development and production.
Reservoir monitoring applications made possible with the buried array include:
- Hydraulic fracture stimulation optimization
- Drainage area mapping for individual wells in tight sands and gas shales
- Injection patterns in SAGD or high-pressure cyclical steam injection fields
- CO2 migration paths in CO2 sequestration or tertiary recovery projects
